No Cooling at All
Lights Off

If the lights are not working (and they were before problems arose), check for the following:

  1. Double check that the refrigerator is plugged in. Next, plug in some other load, such as a trouble light, into the outlet to test for power.

  2. Visually check the line cord for damage.

Correct as required. No lights indicate a complete loss of power or a break early in the line cord circuit. Such a problem is unusual and can often be found by visual inspection. Look for some outside influence such as rodent or moving damage. If nothing is obvious:

  3. Locate the circuit diagram (glued to the back or hidden in an envelope behind the front grill) and trace incoming power through the circuit . (For circuit tracing details see Manual 5: Electricity Made Simple / Electrical Safety)
