Spots on the clothes.

Spots can come from three sources:

  1. Improper customer usage such as a pen left in a pocket.

  2. Redeposition - another name for the depositing of accumulated soil built up in the nooks and crannies of the washer. This condition can be eliminated by a steady use of hot water and less detergent. (See Manual 4, Spots and Staining).

  3. Leaking transmission oil into the clothes basket (GE and Maytag).

For further information or brand-specific information, please consult Manuals 1, 2 and 3.
